Ellie’s Story

My brother, Michael wears 2 bracelets on his left wrist; one orange and the other green. These bracelets remind him of Brett Wagner and Josh Rogers and the importance of wearing a seatbelt. Michael never truly realized how important a seatbelt is until his Ford F-150 rolled three times, after being cut off by another vehicle this afternoon. When the truck finally came to a stop on the roof, he slowly crawled out of the mangled vehicle. Witnesses rushed over to help and say they were shocked to see any sign of life coming from the wreckage. Miraculously, Michael only has scrapes and bruises as a result of the impact. Although Michael will miss his “baby” (as he refers to his truck), his life was saved because he was wearing his seatbelt. I am thankful Michael will just be missing his truck, because I could never imagine missing him. If you don’t buckle up for yourself, do it for the Wagner and Roger’s families because they know, more than anyone, what it is like to miss their “baby’s”.
